「单曲」The Fray – Heartless 正式MV

Intro：另类摇滚乐队The Fray 2002年在美国丹佛市成立，由4人组成，包括：同为校友的Isaac Slade（主唱和钢琴）和Joe King（吉他，演唱）以及后加入的Dave Welsh（吉他）和Ben Wysocki（鼓手及打击乐器）。同为校友的Issac和Joe一次在唱片行的相遇成为了他们日后组建乐队的契机。Issac和Joe不久便开始了两人搭档的小型磨合性质的演出，并逐渐摸索形成了自己的风格，既有U2般激扬上进气质又不乏 Cunting Crows根源性的摇滚本质，随着Slade两名前队友鼓手Ben Wysocki和吉他手Dave Welsh的加入，The Fray成型了。

The Fray乐队风格与英国的Coldplay和Keane相似，The Fray是新一批乐坛新兴血液中受英式乐队（诸如Coldplay和Keane）影响较深的一支，也保留了美国90年代传统摇滚Counting Crows和the Wallflowers的气质，还有点Jimmy Eat World这种EMO乐队的冲劲。但THE FRAY的特点在于乐队对钢琴的钟爱。也许就是因为钢琴，才使得他们的音乐有种特别的气质。旗帜般飘扬的主音唱腔颇具英式感，骨子里还是保守的美式作风，时不时来点情绪性的激扬调调，他们不是那种风格一脉相承的乐队，截取各家之长是他们一个显而易见的强项。

经过三年的努力，在2005年的9月终于推出了首张专辑《How to Save a Life》，而之前的单曲《Over My Head (Cable Car)》则最早出现在电影原声大碟《Stealth》之中。这张专辑给人一种相当醒目的、耳目一新的感觉，专辑中的主打歌曲《Over My Head (Cable Car)》无疑是一首值得多听几遍的歌曲，是一首让人“过耳不忘”的歌曲。而标题歌曲《How to Save a Life》来得更加的抒情，开场的钢琴绝对让人沉醉，能够立即抓住人心，歌曲也在很大程度上和《Over My Head (Cable Car)》打成平手，专辑在美国本土卖了150万张，在BILLBOARD专辑榜上更是排到了前12名的位置。

Heartless是The Fray一首翻唱Kanye West的。

总的来说曲风趋于保守，没有美国主流音乐的蓬勃和魅惑（性感），竖琴的伴奏似乎像是某个欧洲内陆国家的音乐风格，悠远而苍凉，更趋近俄罗斯欧洲地区的风格。闭眼聆听，仿佛置身于某个某个欧洲古堡前，秋风阵阵，四周高及半人的枯草随风而动，风衣男子迎风而立，眼中充满迷茫和忧伤。许久，扔出烟头转身驾车离开，夕阳西下，断肠人在天涯。
